The Wellness Community Goes Walking

February debuted the very first challenge for the Dia&Co Wellness Facebook Community. Alongside Christa of the Curvy Kili Crew, the Dia Community headed out for regular walks.

February may not have the best weather, but that didn’t stop the Dia&Co Wellness Community from hitting the pavement. For the first time, this community was challenged by Curvy Kili Crew leader Christa to walk three times a week. As the Curvy Kili Crew was gearing up for the hike of a lifetime on Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Dia Community geared up for regular walks. As each week continued, the challenge became a bit more difficult. From walking for 15 minutes to 30 minutes to adding weights and elevation, we witnessed women across the country head outside for some fresh air and to conquer their goals. Not only were we totally inspired by them getting outside, despite the cold weather—we even saw many members take it to the next level!

Here are some of the stories that inspired us.

A Sight For Sore Eyes

Community member Daphne M. made sure all of her hikes led her to beautiful sights. She saw gorgeous mountain views, caves, and waterfalls.

It might be a bit cold, but this gorgeous wintery view wouldn’t have been seen if Daphne didn’t take her walk!

Walk With Purpose

Stephanie included a loved one on a walk, and let the conversation take the walk from 30 minutes to a full hour.

Some of Stephanie’s sights from her walk, and our favorite photos shared in the group, were of her livestock. From chasing her lambs to inspecting fence lines, she showed us just how active life on a farm is.

Taking It Up A Notch

While the challenge was walking, Sarah R. dialed it up a bit by participating in a 5K.

Because the run was Disney Princess-themed, Sarah dressed up as Moana. We cannot wait to see how far you’ll go, Sarah!
