Easy DIY Manicure

Written by celebrity manicurist Sunshine Outing

From working with celebrities on photo shoots to running my own studio, nail art is my full-time job. Even so, I get that it’s not always a possibility to spare the time or money needed for a professional manicure. That’s why I’m sharing my tips for achieving the same results—no appointment necessary! So grab your favorite nail polish and get ready for your best at-home manicure yet.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Cotton balls
  • Nail polish remover
  • 220-grit nail file
  • Small bowl to soak
  • Small towel
  • Cuticle pusher
  • Cuticle oil
  • Lotion
  • Base coat
  • Nail polish
  • Top coat

2. File your nails to the desired shape in one direction with a 220-grit nail file. A 220-grit nail file is softer and doesn’t tear natural nails—the higher the grit, the softer the file!
