With an ever-growing amount of plus-size representation in fashion each year, Fall/Winter 2019 New York Fashion Week raised the stakes with designers dressing diverse models across the runways. Most notably, plus-size retailer 11 Honoré opened NYFW by featuring #TransIsBeautiful spokesperson and actress Laverne Cox in a show-stopping Zac Posen red gown to a cheering audience and bursts of confetti. This was just the first of many moments during this season’s NYFW. We’re excited to see more retailers help move fashion forward—and that celebrating plus-size fashion on the runway is a movement that is here to stay!
