Hi Carmel,

I loved my last box, thank you! Now, I need your advice on swimsuits. A good swimsuit is my  best friend and I love the beach, but I’m going on a Caribbean vacation with my new boyfriend for the first time and I really want to knock his socks off. We’ll be at a beach resort, so I’m going for a beach babe kind of style—I still want to be comfortable though!  I’m willing to try something more revealing if I can wear it with a really chic cover-up. Any suggestions?

Hi Stacey,

The warm sandy beaches and deep blue waters of the Caribbean set the perfect mood for a romantic rendezvous. Picture this: you, your boyfriend, and a variety of beach babe looks that will keep you summer ready!

The Two-Piece Ensemble

The Sunny Bikini Top by Wild Isles paired with the Stella Ruched High-Waisted Bottoms is seriously beach babe luxe. The gorgeous teal color and subtle tropical print are effortlessly chic and polished. My favorite thing about the Sunny top is its sweetheart neckline and extra supportive design. The high-waisted bottoms add extra coverage and their Italian nylon fabric gives them a flexible ultra-comfortable fit— great for long walks on the beach! One of my favorite summer hacks is a classic white cotton button-down. They’re easy to dress up or down, lightweight, and add a crisp and sophisticated touch to any outfit. The fit of the Oversized Ex-Boyfriend Shirt by Madewell makes it especially perfect for the hot and humid Caribbean weather. Pull-on shorts like the Seamed Pull-on Shorts by Madewell are another lifesaver for those last-minute changes of plans and spontaneous resort adventures. Slip them on as a swimsuit coverup for date night with your boyfriend.

The One-Piece Look

Show off a bit more skin with the Jacey Cut Out One Piece by Anini Swimwear. The low-cut neckline and waist-accentuating fit will definitely make a statement. I’m sure your boyfriend will appreciate it! The great thing about one-pieces is that they’re easy to spruce up no matter what your plans for the day might be. The timeless black color also makes this swimsuit more versatile. Knock his socks off and transform this one-piece for date night by adding the Sarah Jean Skirt by Meri Skye, a pair of cute espadrilles, and tie it all together with the Barbossa Kimono. Take all the essentials with you in the beach-y vibes of the Anita Mini Tote Bag. You can even get creative by experimenting with the silhouette of the kimono! Belt it for a wrap-esque fit.

The Coordinated Tankini

Florals for summer? Absolutely, YES! When hitting the beach you can never go wrong with a sassy floral print like the Beach House Woman Jane Ruffle Tankini Top. The summery color palette and playful ruffles gives the fuller coverage of the tankini top a flirty feel. Not only is this tankini downright adorable, it also has a fabulous amount of stretch and adjustable straps. Pair it with the high waist of the Emma Swim Skirt for a comfortable combo you can confidently wear to the water, to the resort and back again. That’s not even the best part— this swim skirt has pockets.

Last but definitely not least, the ultimate style hack: you! As Blake Lively once said, “The most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence”. Strut your stuff and take in those sun rays.

Don’t forget the sunscreen!

XO Carmel
